Educating to Elevate
There has never been a more important time to rethink what it means to teach, lead, and learn.
Artificial intelligence is changing education faster than any technology before it. Computer science is becoming an essential literacy. New tools emerge almost daily, promising to transform classrooms and schools. Yet with every innovation, I find myself coming back to the same question:
How do we make sure technology expands humanity instead of replacing it?
That question has shaped my work for years.
As an educator, county leader, researcher, and consultant, I’ve dedicated my career to broadening access to computer science, advancing AI literacy, and helping schools create learning environments where every student feels seen, valued, and empowered. My own experiences, from growing up searching for a sense of belonging to leading regional initiatives that support educators and school leaders, have convinced me that innovation only matters when it creates greater opportunity for those who have historically been underserved.
That belief became the foundation of Educate to Elevate.
At Educate to Elevate, we empower educators and leaders to create equitable, human-centered learning experiences where AI, computer science, and inclusive technology expand opportunity for every learner.
This publication marks the beginning of a new chapter and a new voice.
Here, I’ll share practical strategies for educators and leaders, reflections on leadership, emerging trends in AI and computer science, stories from the field, and ideas that challenge us to reimagine learning while never losing sight of what makes us human.
I believe the future doesn’t belong to the schools with the most advanced technology.
It belongs to the schools that know how to use technology to amplify human potential, deepen belonging, and open doors for every learner.
If you’re an educator, leader, or lifelong learner who believes innovation and equity belong together, welcome.
I’m excited you’re here. Let’s elevate education together.
